Data controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this site is Sam Penfold, operator of meilenguru.ch. Contact: hello@meilenguru.ch. Further details are in the Legal Notice.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address. It's used solely to send you the newsletter and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Sign-ups are processed via a form handled by Netlify, Inc. (USA) — see Third parties below. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to hello@meilenguru.ch.
Consultation booking
When you book a paid consultation (CHF 79) through the booking page, the following data is processed:
- Scheduling: name, email address, and chosen time slot — processed through the Cal.com booking widget (Cal.com, Inc., USA)
- Payment: payment details for the CHF 79 fee — processed directly by Stripe (Stripe, Inc., USA) as part of the Cal.com booking flow. Payment data (e.g. card numbers) never passes through our own servers
This data is retained to deliver the booked consultation and, where legally required, for accounting purposes.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit the site, Netlify automatically processes standard technical access data (e.g. IP address, time of access, page requested), as is technically necessary for any website hosting.
Third parties outside Switzerland/EU
Netlify, Cal.com, and Stripe are US-based companies, so data transfer to the US can't be ruled out. All three are established, internationally operating services with their own privacy policies — you can review them directly: Netlify, Cal.com, Stripe.
Cookies and click tracking
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — page views, traffic sources, and which referral links convert. Google Analytics only sets cookies and processes your data after you actively accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. See Google's privacy policy for details on how Google processes this data.
We also use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool, to count clicks on outbound card-application links — this tells us which card offers people actually follow through on, without setting a cookie or storing any personal identifier tied to you, regardless of your cookie banner choice. See GoatCounter's privacy policy for details. The embedded Cal.com booking widget may set cookies necessary for its own functionality; this is outside our control and governed by Cal.com's own privacy policy.
No ad cookies, no cross-site tracking, no reselling your data. Google Analytics only runs if you accept the cookie banner; you can decline it entirely. We count clicks on card-application links (cookie-free, consent-independent) so we know which offers get used. Beyond that, the only data flows happen when you actively sign up for the newsletter or book a consultation.
Your rights
Under Swiss data protection law, you have the right to request information about the data held about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted, and to object to its processing. Reach out to hello@meilenguru.ch for any of this. You can also raise concerns with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
