Meilenguru is run by one person (Sam Penfold), not a publisher or marketing agency. Every comparison, review, and recommendation on this site reflects an individual, personal assessment — more on the About page.
No paid partnerships with card issuers
Meilenguru currently has no paid partnership or affiliate arrangement with Cornèrcard, Swisscard, American Express, or any other card issuer. None of these companies pays for placement, mention, or a particular rating on this site. Card comparisons are based solely on publicly published issuer terms.
How cards are compared
Every card is assessed against the same criteria: welcome bonus, everyday earning rate, annual fee, foreign-transaction fee, and extras (e.g. lounge access). Pros and cons are stated plainly for each card — including cards that are recommended overall. Head-to-head tables mark which card wins on each specific line item; there's deliberately no single "best card overall," because the right choice depends on your own spending pattern.
How figures are kept current
Welcome bonuses, annual fees, and promotional offers change often. The core offer pages (Card Offers) are checked regularly against issuer websites and corrected when they drift. Even so, terms can change between a check and your application — always confirm the current figure directly with the issuer before applying.
Referral programmes
Some card issuers (e.g. Swisscard) run "member-gets-member" referral programmes: existing cardholders can personally refer new applicants and receive a bonus for it. Where such programmes are described on this site, they're personal referral codes belonging to individual cardholders — not paid affiliate links — and the offer pages don't currently publish any referral code of our own.
No card company pays for a recommendation on this site. Figures are checked regularly but can change at any time — always confirm directly with the issuer.
The consultation (CHF 79)
The only paid product on this site is the 30-minute personal consultation. That's a service to you as the reader — not a referral fee from a card issuer. Whether a particular card comes up in the conversation depends entirely on your situation, not a commission arrangement.
