Bundle & Go is
Bundle & Go is Miles & More's built-in miles-purchase feature, accessible directly from your account (transactions are processed by Points.com Inc., a Lufthansa Group partner). Instead of buying miles one at a time, you pick a fixed bundle — a set number of miles for a set price. The usual reason to use it: a redemption booking where you're a few thousand miles short, without booking another flight to make up the gap. As of this update, the three larger bundles also bundle in Avis car-rental perks, Priority Pass discounts, and a Lufthansa Business Lounge voucher — it's no longer purely a miles-for-cash exchange.

Bundles come in four sizes, checked live in September 2026:

Medium, Large and X-Large also come with a Lufthansa Business Lounge voucher (one-time access, valid 12 months) and Miles & More Points; all four include an Avis welcome-mile bonus and Priority Pass membership discounts. Billing runs in euros — at current exchange rates that's roughly the CHF amounts above, plus whatever foreign-transaction fee your card charges, which can range from 0-2.5% depending on the card.

The
annual cap
Miles & More caps miles purchased through Bundle & Go at 300,000 miles per calendar year, per account. Members can buy one bundle per transaction, but there's no limit on the number of transactions — you can combine bundles across the year up to the cap. For most people topping up a single redemption, this cap is essentially irrelevant.
A real
example
Rather than a rule of thumb, here's an actual redemption, checked live in September 2026: Zurich to Cape Town and back, Business Class, nonstop each way, dates in late October/early November. The miles and taxes below are what Miles & More's own booking engine showed for real, bookable seats.

The cheapest Business round-trip cash fare for the same route and week, booked directly on swiss.com: CHF 3,485. The question this article actually cares about: is it worth buying the miles to book the award seat instead of just paying that cash fare?
The answer depends entirely on how many of those 184,007 miles you'd need to buy versus how many you already have from card spend, transfers, or flying. Here's the same redemption priced at each shortfall:

Topping up a shortfall of a few thousand or a few tens of thousands of miles is genuinely cheap relative to the cash fare it unlocks. Buying the entire redemption's miles from scratch is not — it comes out roughly a fifth more expensive than just paying cash, at today's bonus-free prices.
When it's
worth it
- You're short a small-to-moderate number of miles for a specific redemption you've already found — not buying the whole thing from scratch
- A bonus is active in your account — without one, the per-mile cost is meaningfully worse than the examples above
- You compare the all-in cost (bundle price + the redemption's taxes) against the cash price of the same route, not just the bundle price in isolation
The old rule of thumb — "roughly 2 cents a mile, worth it for a business-class redemption" — assumed an active 50% bonus. One ran through September 30, 2026, but only for selected members on a first purchase. At the base, bonus-free rates above, Bundle & Go still earns its keep for closing a genuine shortfall, but stops making sense somewhere between the Large and X-Large tiers on a redemption this size. If you're buying most or all of a long-haul business redemption's miles from a standing start, run the cash price first — it may well be cheaper regardless of whether a bonus is active for you.

Is it worth buying all the miles for a business-class redemption from scratch? +
Usually not, at current bonus-free prices. A real Zurich-Cape Town business-class round trip checked live needed 184,007 miles; buying that many from scratch cost more than the cheapest cash business fare for the same route. Bundle & Go earns its keep when you're topping up a small shortfall on miles you already have, not when buying a redemption outright.
